WINNIPEG — With free agency in the Canadian Football League just around the corner the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released two players. International linebacker Ejiro Kuale and national linebacker Kyle Jones were both cut loose.
Kuale joined the Bombers just prior to the 2014 season and recorded 33 defensive tackles with one interception but he also had a habit of taking unnecessary penalties at the most inopportune times. Kuale is now 31-years-old and has also spent time with the Calgary Stampeders, Toronto Argonauts, Montreal Alouettes and Saskatchewan Roughriders. Kuale won a Grey Cup with the Argos in 2012.
Jones leaves the Bombers after a very brief stint with the football club. The 28-year-old was signed in July, playing primarily on special teams and also handling some long snapping duties. Jones is a 6 year CFL veteran and recorded just 2 special teams tackles in 2014.
CFL free agency begins on February 10 at 11 o’clock central time.
