In a letter from Doug Kelsey, the president and general manager, he says “our senior management has been working closely with CP Rail to identify the cause of the disruptions and how to quickly improve service levels. CP Rail has confirmed they are actively working on ways to alleviate the problems with the current on-time-performance.”
The West Coast Express experienced several delays last month due to a disabled freight train on the tracks and CP rail maintenance.
TransLink also points out the tracks are not owned by them but shared with CP, and they are trying to work through these issues to avoid any possible delays.
