Traffic mayhem through Central Okanagan expected for days

Highway 97 will be remain closed and detoured for days to come after being shut down around the Westside Road interchange in West Kelowna Monday afternoon.

Crews have begun shoring up the structure as they prepare to repair a retaining wall that collapsed Sunday, a failure that originally shut down southbound traffic. Now both directions of travel will be affected for several days.

The Westside Road overpass remains closed until further notice.
