CALGARY – One man was killed in a brazen daytime shooting in Auburn Bay on Thursday.
Police were called to the 0-100 block of Auburn Sound Circle S.E. just after 9:30 a.m.
When they arrived, officers found one man unresponsive on the street.
EMS attempted to resuscitate the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police don’t believe the attack was random, but have no suspects and haven’t identified a motive.
“We are still in the process of sifting through information to determine if any other persons may have information, or a vehicle may be involved,” said Duty Insp. Michael Watterston.

“This is certainly a public safety concern, whenever we have gunplay in the city.”
If police confirm this death is a homicide, it would be the third in Calgary in 2015.
Abdullahi Ahmed, 26, was killed in a shooting at a house party in the community of Killarney on January 1st.
The following day, 23-year-old Murat Osman Omar’s body was discovered in an alley in Rosedale.
