Stars came out Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles for the 21st Screen Actors Guild Awards, honouring the best on-screen performances by members of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

Before the show, celebrities walked the 17,000-square-foot red carpet outside the Shrine Auditorium.

Canadian glamour was provided by B.C. native Molly Parker (part of the House of Cards cast) and Regina’s Tatiana Maslany (star of the Toronto-shot series Orphan Black), who dazzled in Oscar de la Renta.

Julianne Moore (Still Alice) wore Givenchy; Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik showcased Christian Siriano; Claire Danes chose Marc Jacobs; and Birdman star Emma Stone wore Dior Couture.

Jennifer Aniston wore a revealing Vintage John Galliano gold dress.

Both Modern Family star Sarah Hyland, in custom Vera Wang, and Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt, in Honor, were styled by Ontario’s Brad Goreski.

There was plenty of colour on the carpet — Orange is the New Black star Uzo Aduba wore yellow, Julianna Margulies of The Good Wife chose royal blue, and both How to Get Away With Murder’s Viola Davis and Wild star Reese Witherspoon were in white.

Most of the men showed up in traditional black tuxedos but a handful dared to be different — including Ethan Hawke, who wore a brown Calvin Klein tux.
