HAMILTON – Police say a 27-year-old man is facing charges after a panhandler was assaulted on a Hamilton street.
Police say a man approached the panhandler on Monday afternoon and proceeded to kick him in the head, causing minor injuries to the his mouth.

Investigators say witnesses followed the suspect and alerted officers in the area who made an arrest inside a nearby mall.

Jeffrey Ormonde of Hamilton is charged with assault and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
