Thief comes up empty handed after North Battleford robbery attempt

NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – Police are looking for a suspect who attempted to rob a store in North Battleford, Sask. Mounties say the masked person entered the store in the 1700-block of 100th Street just after 6 a.m. on Friday.

The would-be thief was armed with a knife and demanded cash from the employee before fleeing on foot empty-handed. No one was harmed.

The suspect, who is believed to be male, is about five-foot 10-inches and thin.
