Andrey Makarov made 41 saves to backstop the Saskatoon Blades in a 5-2 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings on Tuesday in the Western Hockey League.
Matej Stransky, Jesse Paradis, Josh Nicholls, Jake Trask and Brett Stovin each scored for the Blades (12-6-1), while Brent Benson added two assists.

Brenden Walker and Darian Dziurzynski had the goals for Brandon (11-6-2).
Brandon Anderson gave up three goals in the first period before giving way to Corbin Boes who made 14 saves.
With the win, the Blades remain a perfect 9-0 on home ice this season.
The Blades now embark on a five-game road trip starting tonight when they take on the Swift Current Broncos.
