Toronto police are investigating after shots were fired in an area where plainclothes officers were conducting an investigation Tuesday night.
Police say it hasn’t been determined if the shots were fired at the officers in the Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue area.
Sergeant Dave Haynes says it appears they just happened to be in the area at the time.
There are no reported injuries.
The area was flooded with officers and the York Regional Police helicopter took part in the search for suspects.
Haynes says police are searching for three male suspects. He didn’t provide descriptions.
