TORONTO – Toronto Mayor John Tory is inviting the public to a skating party at Nathan Phillips Square to celebrate New Year’s Day.
Members of city council will also be in attendance for the event which will be accompanied by music, hot chocolate and apple cider.

Tory’s welcoming remarks will begin at 2 p.m. followed by the skating party until 3:30 p.m.
In years past, former Mayor Rob Ford held his annual New Year’s levee inside the city hall rotunda.
