WinterStart Festival – Banff & Lake Louise

In Banff and Lake Louise, holiday celebrating starts early with the WinterStart Festival, where unique events create so much excitement it might blow your skis off. WinterStart beckons you to get outside, hit the ski hill and stroll down the streets of Banff under the soft twinkle of festive lights.

Carve some early season turns at any of the three local ski hills. Catch a glimpse of world-class ski racers as they reach record speeds at the Lake Louise World Cup. Enjoy the thrills of Christmas in the Rockies with a variety of events catered to the young and young at heart. Decorate cookies, join a wagon ride or sip a glass of wine at a street front restaurant and watch Banff Avenue brighten with the Santa Claus Parade of Lights.

The first snowfall in Banff National Park is a green light to high-speed activities jam-packed with Christmas spirit.
