Edmonton-based soldier faces sex-related charge

OTTAWA – Military police say they have charged a soldier based in Alberta with sexual assault causing bodily harm.

Master Cpl. Raphael Beaudry, who is 31, is a member of 3rd Canadian Division Support Group at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton.

The Canadian Forces National Investigation Service says the Armed Forces do not tolerate sexual misconduct by any members.  It says all allegations of sexual misconduct are investigated.

The investigation unit looks into serious and sensitive matters in relation to Department of National Defence property, employees and Canadian Armed Forces personnel.
