TORONTO — Nominations for the 72nd Golden Globe Awards were announced Thursday morning in Los Angeles.

The drama Birdman, starring Michael Keaton, topped the list of movie nominations with seven. Boyhood and The Imitation Game trailed with five each.

The Alberta-shot series Fargo scores several nominations, including acting nods for Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman and Colin Hanks.

Julianne Moore earned a nomination in the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy category for her work in David Cronenberg’s made-in-Toronto feature Maps to the Stars.
