A deadly logging accident on Vancouver Island has claimed the life of a Coldstream man. David Thompson Kennedy, 47, was working on a heli-logging operation near Tahsis.
“Mr. Kennedy was employed as a tree-faller when he sustained critical injuries late in the morning of Dec. 7,” according to the BC Coroners Service. “He was transported to
Campbell River and District Hospital by helicopter and ambulance, but could not be resuscitated.”
Details on how Kennedy died have yet to be released. The BC Coroners Service and WorkSafe BC are investigating.
