MONTREAL – Some who could not be at Jean Béliveau‘s funeral said good-bye to the legend in a different way – by taking to social media.

Global News’ social media pages were filled with heartfelt tributes to commemorate the great Canadiens player while the hockey world looked on as one of its biggest stars was laid to rest.

Online, many took to Twitter and Facebook to share memories and bid farewell to one of the greatest players to ever grace the ice with that legendary Habs jersey.
