TORONTO – A Toronto costume store reopened today after being shut down as police investigated three suspicious packages that were found inside.
Two were confirmed to be explosive.
Amazing Party and Costume on Oxford Street, near the Gardiner Expressway and Islington Avenue, had been shut down since Saturday.
According to the owner of the store, Shawn Hamilton, the closure of the store cost him over $500,000.

Shawn Hamilton also alleges that it was a rival store, or someone trying to shutdown his store for the busiest weekend of the year. Hamilton told Global News, “they frightened us and its sick that they would do something like this in Canada”
The store was closed when police found two more suspicious devices after finding one Friday.
Bomb-sniffing dogs were used to find the devices.
The store and nearby properties had been closed as police continued their search.
Police are now reviewing surveillance video and the investigation has been handed over to the organized crime unit.
