The battle over Vancouver’s Arbutus Corridor heads to BC Supreme Court today.
The city of Vancouver has filed an application to block any further attempt by CP Rail to re-activate its dormant rail line along the Westside.

CP Rail started asking residents to clear the tracks and property along the Arbutus Corridor in July, but agreed to put that work on hold last month until the city’s injunction application gets heard in court.
The talks between the two sides broke down in September.
In October, the city filed a notice of civil claim in the BC Supreme Court, challenging Canadian Pacific’s actions in clearing the Arbutus corridor, and reactivating it as a railway.
