NIPAWIN, Sask. – A former foster parent and hockey coach faces multiple sexual assault charges after two men came forward alleging he sexually abused them. Police laid charges against Thomas Donald Mark of Codette, Sask. on Nov. 23 following an investigation into the allegations.

Mark, 74, is charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, two counts of invitation to sexual touching, two counts of sexual exploitation and a count of anal intercourse. The charges are under the Criminal Code from either 1987 or 1997 that were in effect when the alleged sexual assaults took place.

The first man made the complaint in August and a second man came forward in October. The second man stated he first made contact with the accused at an ice arena in Nipawin, Sask. where the accused did maintenance work.

RCMP believe there may be other victims who may have encountered Mark through his work as a foster parent, hockey coach or involvement in the community.
