Kelowna Mayor and Council sworn in

KELOWNA–A big night in Kelowna on Monday as the new Mayor and Council were officially sworn in .

The ceremony took place at the Rotary Centre for the Arts where a few hundred were on hand to wish the newly elected officials well as they begin their four years of service.

Judge Jane Cartwright administered the Oath of Office, installing Colin Basran as the youngest Mayor in Kelowna history.

Four incumbants and four newly elected councillors were also sworn in Monday.

Basran calls the new team amazing saying he’s excited about where they can take Kelowna in the future.

Basran says his ultimate goal is to make Kelowna a city where future generations are afforded every opportunity to find success.
