NEW GLASGOW, N.S. – A Nova Scotia man has been charged with attempted murder after an incident that sent a 17-year-old girl to hospital.
Police in New Glasgow received a 911 call Sunday about a disturbance at a home on Fraser Street.

A 44-year-old man from New Glasgow was arrested.
Const. Ken Macdonald says the girl has since been released from hospital with minor injuries.
He would not disclose how the victim sustained her injuries.
Macdonald says the victim and the accused are known to each other but will not disclose the nature of their relationship.
