A rescue happened on Mount Seymour today after a 61-year-old man slipped off the north side of Tim Jones Peak while hiking.
The man was hiking alone in the afternoon when he fell 50 feet down a gully near the top of the peak, coming to a sudden stop against a boulder.

Crews with North Shore Rescue performed a long line rescue to get to the injured man, who has since been taken to hospital.
North Shore Rescue is reminding people to be prepared for winter conditions on local mountains.
