Montrealers woke up Wednesday to a Day of Disruption.
Blue collar workers walked off the job at midnight and took to the streets across Quebec to protest pension reform.

Bill 3 is expected to pass next week, and unions have promised more protests if the government doesn’t listen to them.
“It’s not just pension plans, it’s about everything that’s going on now,” Laura Daigle, a court translator with the City of Montreal told Global News.

“It’s about cutting, it’s about not looking into the future. It’s about using people and throwing them away.”
Protests against Bill 3 have been going on since early summer.

On social media, some Global Montreal viewers say they’re tired of the demonstrations.
While others say they understand where these angry municipal workers are coming from.
Jeffrey James Little – “It’s not all about the pension it’s about the government making promises and agreements they are taking back. It’s about what they sacrificed to make these deals. They are actually fighting for all of us that when the government makes a deal with its people they stand true to it and follow through…Maybe look at the big cheeses who are really taking money from your pocket. Corruption is not coming from your police, firemen or blue collars.”
Renard Roux – “The law will pass. It’s coming. For the good of the province. For the good of everybody. For our future.”
Donna Duguay – “I just hope the tax payers, don’t have to pay for the cleanup once this is don’t.”
