WATCH: A woman found in a quiet residential area of Markham has died from her injuries. Christina Stevens reports.
TORONTO – Police are investigating the death of a woman found on the driveway of a Markham home early Friday morning.
The 28-year-old unidentified woman was discovered on the Norbury Drive driveway just after 6 a.m. and was taken to hospital in critical condition where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The person who called 911 knew the victim and police are now interviewing that person.
Police say they do not know the cause of death but there are indications “some trauma” was involved.
It’s not currently known if the woman lived at the location where she was found.

A woman who lives near Norbury Drive told Global News she was shocked to learn someone had been found dead.
“This is such a quiet and nice neighbourhood, I really love living here,” the woman, who did not give her name, said. “I’ve been living and I’ve never heard something like that.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The York Regional Police Homicide squad is investigating however the death has not been ruled a murder.
