HALIFAX – Police took two men into custody Friday morning after a convenience store in Dartmouth was robbed at knifepoint.
Police first received reports of a robbery at the Needs Convenience on Prince Albert Road just after 1 a.m.
They say one of the men entered the store and threatened the male clerk with a knife.

He demanded cash and cigarettes but only received the cigarettes before he fled.
A witness told police the suspect got into a car with another man.
RCMP were able to locate the car a short time later on Highway 111, but as they approached the vehicle, one suspect took off on foot.
Police caught the man and quickly arrested him.
The stolen cigarettes were found in the car, and the second suspect who stayed with the car was also arrested.
Police say charges are pending against the Dartmouth man and the Porters Lake man.
No one was injured in the incident.
