ST. DAVID RIDGE, N.B. – The RCMP is investigating after a body was discovered in a wooded area in St. David Ridge, about 10 km from Oak Haven, N.B.
In a release, RCMP say two hunters came across the body in a wooded area at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Police haven’t identified the person, including their gender, age or the “circumstances surrounding the death.”
“Evidence at the scene suggest foul play is involved in this person’s death,” the release states.
RCMP Major Crime investigators and Forensic Identification officers are on scene.
The RCMP say a forensic autopsy will be performed in Saint John. They say only after the autopsy is done will they know more on the person’s identity.
