WINNIPEG – The leader of Manitoba’s Green party has won the contest to replace himself.
James Beddome got 70 per cent of the ballots cast as he defeated an organic farmer who was his only challenger.

Beddome quit as leader of the Manitoba Green party last year to spend more time starting a law career in Winnipeg.
But he threw his hat in the ring after ending up with too much time on his hands, and missing politics.
