North Vancouver RCMP are attempting to locate a man to make sure of his well-being after reports of him acting strangely in Lynn Canyon Park on Nov. 8.
According to witnesses the man, who was barefooted, was climbing next to the waterfall upstream from the Suspension Bridge and then laying down on a small ledge adjacent to the 90-foot waterfall.
When police arrived, the man vanished from the scene which raised concerns around him possibly haven fallen into Lynn Creek. RCMP and North Shore Search and Rescue combed the area and failed to locate the male. The Coast Guard also searched the outlet of Lynn Creek the following day and did not locate the man.
Although it is possible the man left the park safely, the RCMP is concerned for his well-being and is not investigating him for any criminal offence.
The man is described as Caucasian, wearing red and black pajama-like pants, a brown and black jacket, a black, grey and white toque and was barefoot.
