VANCOUVER – A high risk sex offender has now been charged in a sex assault that occurred at Surrey Pre-trial Centre.
Surrey RCMP say on Oct. 4 they received a complaint of a sex assault and after a two-week investigation charges were approved by Crown against 24-year-old Jeffrey Alan Goddard.
Goddard has a history of child luring using social media and has posed as a police officer, a member of a band and a landscaper to get near both male and female victims, usually between 12 and 17 years old.
RCMP say they will not be releasing any more details about this incident.
Goddard remains in custody and will appear in Surrey Provincial Court today. He was previously in custody after breaching his conditions numerous times stemming from previous sex related charges.
