WATCH: A man in South Carolina survives being run over by a train. Not only was he not hurt, he didn’t even spill his drink.
TORONTO – A South Carolina man is lucky to be alive after falling asleep allegedly drunk on railroad tracks – only to wake up directly beneath a train.
Police were alerted after a train conductor called 911 suspecting a person had been run over.
But when authorities arrived at the scene they were shocked with what they found.
A video captured with a police body camera clearly shows the unidentified man found alive and lying between the tracks, right under the third car of the train.

But when the suspect was dragged to safety, he didn’t have any injuries, let alone a scratch.
According to police, the suspect had passed out drunk with his drink nearby. At some point later, the train passed over him.
“It didn’t even knock his beer over,” an officer can be heard saying in the video.
Police ticketed the man for being drunk in public and trespassing on railroad property.
“It’s still something that’s totally avoidable if they would just stay off the tracks,” added Clevenger.
