HALIFAX – RCMP have one man in custody and are searching for a second in relation to a violent break and enter in Indian Brook on Saturday that sent a 37-year old man to hospital.

They say the incident happened around 6:45 a.m. when two men allegedly broke into the home and assaulted  a man inside. The victim was taken to hospital and later released.

Police say the suspects fled from the home, but officers later arrested 30-year old Jeremiah Paul at a home in Shubenacadie.

Paul will appear in court on Monday morning to face charges of aggravated assault and robbery.

Police are still searching for a second suspect. They say he is in his mid-twenties and is described as six feet tall, 270 pounds, with a medium-dark complexion.
