West Island schools mark Remembrance Day early

MONTREAL — Remembrance Day is next Tuesday, but students on the West Island were marking the occasion early on Thursday.

Three processions, led by pipers, simultaneously left Macdonald High School, McGill University’s Macdonald Campus and John Abbott College, at 10:15 a.m.

The high school, CEGEP and university students marched to the athletic field on the John Abbott College campus, where up to 70 veterans awaited them.
