VANCOUVER – Protesters demonstrating against Kinder Morgan’s proposed Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion say they will not be frightened away from their constitutional rights.

They have now begun a fundraising campaign after the company filed a lawsuit against individual protesters.

Kinder Morgan claims delays associated with the demonstration on Burnaby Mountain are costing it millions of dollars each month.

The activists say they’re protesting on public land and have the right to free speech.

They have launched a Go Fund Me campaign to cover legal expenses and it is already more than halfway to the $40,000 goal.
