In North Vancouver, district firefighters were offering up a fun and safe way to destroy them.

By donation, pumpkins were dropped from the firefighter training tower, a plunge of three storeys.

While it won’t be much fun to clean up, money raised is going to a good cause.

This is the second annual pumpkin smash. Last year, about $1000 was raised.

All proceeds will be distributed to benefit different groups in the community.
