LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – A southern Alberta woman has pleaded guilty to abducting her two daughters.
Trina Meisel, who is 49, pleaded guilty to abduction and breaching a court order in Lethbridge provincial court Thursday.
The girls, ages 12 and six, disappeared last May during recess from a school near Vulcan, Alta.
They were found about a week later in British Columbia unharmed after police issued an Amber Alert.

Meisel was sentenced to six months in prison and probation, but with credit for time served in custody she won’t spend any additional time behind bars.
She told the court that she will regret what she did for the rest of her life.
