Global’s ‘The Morning Show’ ready for debut

TORONTO – Global Toronto anticipates the debut of its new morning news program “The Morning Show”, which promises to re-energize the city’s morning news market and includes new faces and veteran journalists as the show’s co-hosts.

TV personality Liza Fromer comes back after a five-year hiatus, and will be joined by co-host Dave Gerry, news anchor Kris Reyes and weather/traffic specialist Daru Dhillon.

“Our on-air team is fantastic, and we believe the chemistry that exists within this team combined with our groundbreaking new format will give viewers a completely unique viewing experience,” says Global Toronto News Director and Station Manager Ward Smith.

Another interesting component to the morning show is roving social media reporter Liem Vu, who will act as a bridge for real time updates online and on the ground.

A live blog and various interactive features will also be available online.
