YORKTON, Sask. – There’s been no word as to when a canola-crushing plant in southeastern Saskatchewan will reopen after an explosion.

There was one minor injury in the blast at the Louis Dreyfus Commodities plant in Yorkton on Friday.

Fire Chief Trevor Morrisey says investigators are still working with the company to pinpoint the cause.

The explosion occurred in a storage area.

The Yorkton plant along Highway 16 is one of the province’s main canola-processing facilities.
