Bernard Drainville launches PQ leadership bid

LONGUEUIL – Bernard Drainville has officially launched his campaign for leader of the Parti Québécois (PQ).

Drainville addressed supporters Sunday at the Théâtre de Ville in Longueuil.

PQ MNAs Alain Therrien and Guy Leclair were on hand to lend their support.

However, neither has yet confirmed who they will actually be voting for.

Drainville is the MNA responsible for the Charter of Values during Pauline Marois‘ short-lived PQ government.

He will join Martine Ouellet in the race for leader.
