Human remains found in river: Saskatoon police

SASKATOON – Saskatoon police are currently investigating a discovery of human remains in the South Saskatchewan River.

With the assistance of the Saskatoon Fire Department water rescue team, the river was searched and a body was located near the Saskatoon Rowing Club building.

Police say circumstances surrounding the death are not considered suspicious.

The provincial coroner is assisting with the investigation and the victim’s name has not been released.
