HALIFAX – Police say a young man remains in hospital with serious injuries after being shot during an attempted robbery in Halifax.
Officers say the 19-year-old man was sitting in a vehicle with a friend in the area of Dutch Village Road and Frederick Street early Saturday morning when two people approached them and demanded money.
Police say there was a short altercation and the man was shot in the back.
He was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
“He underwent surgery and is now out of surgery in the intensive care unit. His prognosis is good,” said Staff Sgt. Lindsay Hernden with Halifax Regional Police.
