Officials from both the province and Calgary’s Catholic school board broke ground on three new schools in our city on Friday.

It follows a sod turning ceremony for another school a week earlier.

One school, accommodating students from kindergarten to grade nine, will be built in Auburn Bay.

The other two facilities will be located in Cranston and New Brighton and will be for students from kindergarten to grade six.

Construction on the new schools is slated to begin in the spring.
