Global News has learned that the man accused in the shooting at Parliament Hill Wednesday may have been in Calgary before he traveled to Ottawa.
Michael Zehaf-Bibeau has been identified as the gunman that shot and killed Cpl. Nathan Cirillo at the National War Memorial in Ottawa Wednesday.
Several residents at a shelter in Ottawa report that Zehaf-Bibeau stayed there for several days and he had traveled to Ottawa from Calgary.
Zehaf-Bibeau reportedly told residents at the Mission shelter that he had flown to Calgary from Vancouver and then took a bus to Ottawa.
Residents at the shelter described the man as quiet and say he prayed at the shelter and washed his feet frequently.
