The province is hosting a series of public information sessions on the southwest and west legs of the Calgary ring road.

The 16-kilometer southwest leg extends from east of 69th Street SW on Glenmore Trail/Highway 8 south to Macleod Trail.

An additional 10 kilometers of connector upgrades are included in project.

The province says it’s focusing on that leg first, before contracting the west Calgary ring road in about two years.
