Anthony Hopkins to make thriller ‘Go With Me’ in B.C.

TORONTO — Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins will be in B.C. next month to work on the thriller Go With Me.

Directed by Swedish filmmaker Daniel Alfredson (The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest), the movie is an adaptation of Castle Freeman’s 2008 novel of the same name.

The story has been moved from the backwoods of Vermont to a logging community in the Pacific Northwest.

Hopkins, 76, will play an ex-logger who helps a young woman who’s being stalked by a violent former cop.

Additional casting details have not yet been revealed.

Hopkins, best known for playing Dr. Hannibal Lecter on the big screen, recently appeared in Noah and Thor: The Dark World. He made 1997’s outdoor adventure The Edge in B.C. and Alberta.

Production of Go With Me will be based in Vernon and cameras are scheduled to roll Nov. 6 to Dec. 12.
