TORONTO – Mayoral candidate John Tory continues to lead the pack with less than two weeks left in the municipal election campaign, according to a new poll.

A survey conducted by Mainstreet Technologies on Oct. 16 reveals Tory with 38 per cent support compared to 29 per cent for Doug Ford and 22 per cent for Olivia Chow.

Undecided voters were at 8 per cent while 3 per cent of respondents said they will vote for a different candidate.

“At this point, John Tory’s main opponent may be voter complacency, he has led for months and some supporters may take the victory for granted and slip back to Chow as a Ford win becomes less likely or choose not to vote at all,” said Mainstreet Technologies President, Quito Maggi, in a media release.

A Forum Research poll released on Thursday also had Tory in the lead (39 per cent support) with a widening gap over Ford (33 per cent).
