But the Canadian Auto Workers union says a tentative deal has been negotiated.

Workers will vote on the new deal Sunday, and details of the agreement will be released once it is ratified.

About 10,000 people ride Oakville Transit each weekday.

Negotiations had been ongoing since April 26, with employees’ contracts expiring on May 15.

Issues on the table include scheduling rights, vacations and treatment of injured workers.
