Calgary Flames affiliate team apologizes after mascot unveiling goes horribly wrong

The Adirondack Flames have issued an apology after a video circulated of their new mascot “Scorch”.

In the video, the mascot appears to be dancing over the corpse of a dead firefighter.

The Adirondack Flames based out of Glens Falls, NY are the farm team for the Calgary Flames.

Scorch the mascot is pictured after he “overtook” a fire fighter.

In a statement, President Brian Petroveck says the video was intended to show that Scorch was the last ember left after a tragic fire that destroyed much of Glens Falls in 1864.
