EDMONTON — Looking for some free entertainment this weekend? The City of Edmonton is offering free admission at many of its facilities on Sunday.
From 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., admission will be free at the following city-run facilities:
- City of Edmonton Archives at Prince of Wales Armouries
- Fort Edmonton Park
- John Janzen Nature Centre
- Muttart Conservatory
- Edmonton Valley Zoo
- Scona Pool
- Select Recreation Centres – Commonwealth, Jasper Place, Londonderry, Mill Woods, St. FX, and Terwillegar
- Select Family YMCA Community Centres – Castle Downs, Don Wheaton, Jamie Platz, William Lutsky
The John Walter Museum will also be offering free admission from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Just before noon Sunday the City of Edmonton tweeted there was a 30-minute wait to get into the Muttart Conservatory.
The city warns that due to free admission, parking will be at a premium at these locations. Staff recommend taking public transit; regular transit fees still apply.
