Global News has learned of a machete attack that took place downtown earlier this week.
Police confirm that around 4 a.m. Wednesday a man walking down Saskatchewan Drive near the Casino Regina exchanged words with the occupants of a passing vehicle.
Two women and a man then pursued him from the vehicle and towards the Casino, assaulting him with their fists and a long edged weapon, described as a machete.
The victim sustained a serious but non-life threatening cut to his arm. Casino staff alerted police and administered first aid.
Police are still investigating.
