FORT MACLEOD, Alta. – Three people are facing 16 charges under Alberta’s Wildlife Act after an undercover operation in southern Alberta.
A tip in March started the investigation near Fort Macleod.
Darcy Whiteside, spokesman for Sustainable Resource Development, says charges were laid on Thursday.
The charges include unlawful sale and possession of birds of prey, or parts of animals, including big game antlers.
Wildlife officers also searched the Riverside Hutterite Colony and seized some animal parts.
No names have been released, but Whiteside adds more charges are pending.
