TORONTO – It’s that time of the year when the busy Gardiner Expressway will close down once again for fall maintenance.
The City of Toronto says both directions between Carlaw Avenue and Highway 427 will be off-limits to traffic from Friday, Sept. 26 at 11 p.m. (eastbound), 11:59 p.m. (westbound) to Monday, Sept. 29 at 5 a.m.
Crews will focus on specific activities such as cleaning catch basins, marking pavements, pothole and guiderail repairs, and inspecting overhead signs.
Motorists are encouraged to use Lake Shore Boulevard, the Queensway, Richmond Street, King Street, Queen Street and Evans Avenue as alternative routes during the weekend closure.
